Dear Parents,
At Carlton Church of England Primary School, our learning ethos is simple: happy children learn best. When pupils feel safe and supported, they can confidently spread their wings and thrive.
Choosing the right nursery or primary school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. You want to be confident that your child will feel secure and have access to a wide range of opportunities and experiences that will enrich their learning journey. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning and foster a positive ‘we can’ mindset in every child.
We believe every child deserves the very best education. At Carlton C of E Primary and Nursery School, we provide just that. Our excellent facilities include spacious classrooms, a forest school area, a swimming pool, two large fields, and fantastic playgrounds enjoyed by all our pupils. This year, we are delighted to introduce a new sensory room designed to help children regulate their feelings and emotions.
We value hard work and celebrate all kinds of success. Our pupils’ achievements are recognised in many ways, including leaves on our ‘Values Tree,’ entries in the Golden Book, Reading Certificates, and Maths Certificates. We also use Class Dojo to encourage positive behaviour throughout the school. All accomplishments, both in and out of school, are celebrated during our weekly Friday Celebration Assembly.
Our approach is built on a strong partnership between parents, carers, the school, and your child. We know that education is most effective when families are actively involved in their child’s development. We will work closely with you to help your child achieve their very best. Our Behaviour Policy is centred around three simple but powerful principles: 'Be Ready, Be Respectful, and Be Safe'. These values are embedded throughout school life and help create the warm, supportive environment we are proud of.
At Carlton C of E Primary, we believe that embedding Christian and British values within our inspiring, ambitious curriculum helps foster excellent behaviour and positive attitudes to learning. This reflects the dedication of our staff, pupils, governors, and the invaluable support from parents, carers, and the wider community.
We warmly invite you to visit us and experience firsthand the nurturing ethos, strong community spirit, and family values that make our school so special. We are committed to helping your child reach their full potential.
I look forward to meeting you.
