Welcome to Squirrels Class! 

We are a mixed nursery and reception class taught by Miss Bowyer, who is the reception teacher (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), Mrs Davis (Wednesday), and Mrs Watling, who is the nursery lead. We are also very lucky to have the support of Miss Coxon and Mrs Holdstock.

Our classroom is based on the continuous provision model and the children have access to the outdoor area at all times. We encourage children to develop their independence and follow their interests to increase their involvement and engagement in learning. There are many different activities, resources and learning opportunities at any given time in the classroom. We teach using a holistic model, so children can develop many different areas through every task.

Reception do P.E on Tuesday with Miss Bowyer and Thursday with Coach Nic. We ask that children come to school in their school uniform on P.E. days, so they can practice getting change by themselves. Please make sure all P.E. kit is named.

Forest school is every Thursday morning, so please ensure children have a pair of wellies in school.

Homework:

Although we do not set homework, we encourage children in reception to read their reading books and practice their sound book daily.

We use Class Dojo to share with you the children's experiences, and to update you on any changes.
