We have a vacancy for a part time Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our happy team from 1st September 2026.
The post available is a Teaching Assistant Level 2A Spine point 3-4.
The post is for 22.5 hours a week, 8.30am – 1pm Monday to Friday. The current hourly pay is £12.85 for SP 3, £13.05 for SP 4. The role is term time only plus 22.5 hours of paid training required each academic year.
The salary is £13267 - £13450 (based on April 2025 rates), dependent on experience.
The successful applicant will be based in our Hedgehogs Class, which is a Year 1 and 2 class. This is part of our Early Years provision and we need staff flexibility to work in our nursery provision if required. For this reason the successful applicant must have an EYFS/NNEB qualification and GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) to comply with our nursery requirements.
The Teaching Assistant will work under the guidance of the class teacher to plan and deliver learning tasks in line with the Key Stage 1 and EYFS framework/ curriculum in a clear and engaging way. You will work with individual children and groups of children, to ensure they all receive exceptional care, learning and development opportunities in line with curriculum frameworks and school policies.
