MFL Vision

At Carlton Church of England Primary we believe that all children should be exposed to Modern Foreign Languages and culture of other countries around the world.  We aim for children to be filled with a burning enthusiasm and be driven with an open-mindedness and receptive attitude to learn about foreign languages and other cultures.  

French

We have chosen French as our centred language and, through this language we are inspiring our children to learn, not only about the language, but also about the French culture comparing this with our British Values and our culture here in the UK. 

We are very lucky to have the expertise in the form of a teacher, from a company called Petite Etoile, visit us each week to deliver French to Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.    There is also a website that the children can reach from home for extra fun:

Spanish

Children at Carlton Primary also have the opportunity to learn Spanish in our lunchtime club.
