Nursery

Carlton Church of England Primary and Nursery School, now provides quality nursery education for children from the age of 2!

We have a fabulous new EYFS Unit where the Nursery children learn alongside the Reception age children.  The EYFS unit is split into 5 rooms and a large outdoor area. The "busy" room is zoned into three different areas of provision with resources to encourage children to learn through play and exploration with support and guidance from caring and enthusiastic staff. The "Quiet" room provides a space for adult focussed whole class sessions, adult-led group work and a peaceful spot to enjoy a book. The "cosy corner" is our rest space. It provides a dark, quiet space, with blankets and cushions where children can rest should they need to. Outside we have a large space zoned into different resource areas, including a forest area for the children to experience and be involved in nature.

Our nursery is open from 8:50am to 3:30pm every day during term time.

At 3 years old, and if your child is toilet trained, your child can also experience our excellent wraparound care by attending Breakfast Club and After School Club, these sessions need to be pre-booked.  Please contact the office for more details.

If you are interested in considering our Nursery provision for your child, then please make an appointment with Mrs C Williams who is the EYFS lead, or Mrs Bevis, the headteacher, who would both be delighted to arrange a visit for you so you can see the nurturing and thriving environment the children learn in.
